Anyway..
1. speed?
2. accuracy?

5. responsiveness to keystrokes?

My experience with openbook is that it is totally compatible with a laptop cause it does not require a numbpad to control it. So far it has only crashed on me a couple times in the 3 years I've used it. I have not tested it on vista, but supposedly 7.5 version will be compatible with it. The accuracy seems good enough I suppose, but not half as good as the omnipage professional series. It works with all the cannon scanners that I've thrown at it and the keystrokes is quick enough, .5 to 2 seconds before scanner activates.
